190 promoted as head constables in Khairpur

SUKKUR: SSP Khairpur Captain (retd) Ameer Saud Magsi promoted 190 police constables, including eight Lady Police Constables, of Khairpur District to Head Constables on the basis of seniority and professionalism. In the ceremony, SSP Khairpur said that it is the prime duty of a police officer to maintain writ of the state and added that many policemen had sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. He exhorted upon the promoted police officials to serve people professionally. Later, during Police Darbar, he heard the issues of the police and ordered relief.
IG for enhancing capacity of cops

Islamabad: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Qazi Jamil-ur-Rehman on Tuesday stressed the need to enhance capacity of cops serving under security division to ensure the protection of VIPs.
Refresher courses should be arranged on modern lines to improve the skills of duty personnel, the IG passed those instructions during his visit at police security division, here.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Waqar-Ud-Din Syed briefed the IG over functioning of various departments of security division.
Jameel directed to further tighten security of Islamabad red zone and other important places in the city. He also instructed the DIG security to conduct ‘Police Darbar’ on regular basis to resolve the issues of force in swift manner.

Islamabad:Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IGP) Qazi Jamil ur Rehman Friday expressed his commitment to improve the typical policing culture by ensuring policy of merit and introducing friendly police ecology in the city.
Speaking here at Police Darbar, he said that `Thana Culture’ in Islamabad would be changed and Station House Officers and Muharrars at police stations would be appointed through tests and interviews.
The IGP said that public issues would be automatically resolved at the level of police stations through appointments on merit.
He said that today’s Darbar is dedicated to martyrs of Islamabad police, their children, widows, mothers and sisters. “The martyrs of Islamabad police sacrificed their lives for the country and nation and they would be remembered forever,” the IGP maintained.
