New IG visits Usama Satti’s home

Islamabad : The newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman on Saturday visited the house of Usama Satti and expressed condolence with his family over the loss of precious life.
The IGP assured the father of Usama Satti that justice would be ensured as Islamabad police is investigating the case purely on merit. DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed was also accompanied IGP.
It was informed to family members of Usama Satii that five policemen involved in the killing have been terminated from their services. The family was assured that every development in this case would be shared with them and nothing would be concealed from public too.

PAL, computerised driving license office opened in Ghazi

HARIPUR: The opening of Police Assistance Lines (PAL) office and a branch of computerized driving licences would help the residents of Ghazi tehsil in getting their police and driving-related matters resolved without visiting the district headquarter Haripur, stated Regional Police Officer Qazi Jamil ur Rehman on Friday.
Addressing the participants of the inaugural ceremony of PAL office and computerized driving license branch in Ghazi, he said that visiting district headquarter Haripur for police clearance certificates, registration of FIRs of lost documents, and other related matters was an arduous task for the residents of Ghazi, especially those from the remote areas.
