  The Trigg County Sheriff’s Office is working with Kentucky State Police as they investigate an officer-involved shooting that happened on Gold Dust Trail in Trigg County Thursday morning. Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree says they are fully cooperating with Kentucky State Police as they investigate the shooting and will be addressing the community after the facts of the case have been released. Acree says deputies were at the home on Thursday for an attempt to locate when the man picked up a 2×4 piece of wood and tried to hit the deputy. The deputy then reportedly fired his service weapon hitting the man.
