A man was injured when his vehicle slid off the road on Hopson Store Road in Trigg County Friday morning.
Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree says a vehicle was southbound around 8 am when the driver lost control due to icy conditions and slid off the road and hit a tree.
The driver was taken by ambulance to Trigg County Hospital for what deputies say are minor injuries.
Acree encourages everyone to use caution when traveling due to icy conditions. If all possible, stay indoors.
The crash is being investigated by Acree.

Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree asks motorists to be careful if they must get out today and avoid some roads in the county.
Acree tells the News Edge motorists need to avoid Rocky Ridge Road and Will Jackson Road. The News Edge has received many reports of vehicles sliding off both roads. Sheriff Acree adds tow trucks are even getting stuck trying to get vehicles off of the roadways.
Acree also advises motorists to stay away from the intersection of Blue Springs Road and State Park Road, as a semi-truck has jack-knifed.

A local doctor was arrested Christmas Eve for allegedly impersonating a police officer in Trigg County.
Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree investigated after receiving complaints that 58-year old Dr. Travis Calhoun of Cadiz was following a Cadiz woman. He allegedly told her he was a police officer and threatened to detain her.
Dr. Calhoun allegedly told Sheriff Acree that he was a deputy and produced a Todd County Jail ID and badge, but further investigation determined he had only previously been a physician at the Todd County Jail until June of this year when his employment was ended. Dr. Calhoun was not a Todd County deputy jailer.
A Cadiz man was arrested Thursday morning after a report of a man claiming to be law enforcement and threatening a woman.
Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree says Major Mike Sandbrink arrested 58-year-old Travis Calhoun on a warrant for impersonating a police officer. The charge came after Calhoun reportedly followed a Cadiz woman and told her he was a police officer. Deputies say he threatened to detain the woman.
Calhoun reportedly told deputies that he was in fact a “deputy” at the Todd County Jail and produced a jail ID and badge. Calhoun was allegedly employed at the jail before June. Deputies say Calhoun is a doctor, not a police officer.
