QRCS expands humanitarian outreach during 2020 [EN/AR]

Doha: During 2020, Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) redoubled its efforts to combat the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, mobilizing all its resources to relieve the socioeconomic and health impacts on the vulnerable groups in Qatar and around the world.
QRCS intensified its medical, social, protective, informative, and voluntary activities locally and, at the same time, worked with fellow National Societies National Societies in many host countries to protect their people against the outbreak.
In its capacity as a humanitarian auxiliary to the State of Qatar and an active member of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, QRCS carried out many relief interventions in response to natural disasters in Lebanon, Sudan, and the Philippines, among others. It continued to back sustainable development plans at the host communities and had strong presence on the humanitarian diplomacy and advocacy front.

Qatar Airways Evaluates 2020 and Shares Outlook for 2021

At the close of an extraordinary year and one of the most challenging in the history of aviation, Qatar Airways shares its achievements in 2020 and outlook for the coming year.

India’s Union Minister for External Affairs, Shri Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, alongside Dr. Deepak Mittal, the Indian Ambassador in Qatar, visited the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium which is a 2022 FIFA World Cup venue built by an Indian firm on Monday evening.
His Excellency Hassan Al Thawadi and Nasser Al Khater, Chairman and CEO respectively of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 LLC met the ministerial delegation at the stadium and conducted a full tour of the facilities including the pitch, competition areas and VVIP seating areas.
The senior officials explained in detail about the sustainability features of the stadium and the working of the Advanced Cooling System, a high-profile accessory which is a legacy project arising out of 2022 World Cup hosting plans..
