Hyman comes to the library from New York City, where she was a Social Sector Librarian at the nonprofit Candid. Hyman holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from Pratt Institute, and has worked in a variety of library settings, including in prison and jail outreach. In addition to librarianship, Hyman also has a background in editing and proofreading. Hyman is interested in local music collections.
Berkshire Athenaeum Introduces New Librarians
The Berkshire Athenaeum, Pittsfield’s Public Library, expands its reach in the City of Pittsfield with the addition of four librarians to its professional staff.

Neuse Regional Library
The Neuse Regional Libraries have taken active steps to collaborate with students, parents, teachers, principals and the Kinston Housing Authority to explore better ways to engage students in learning during these trying times. The Library established Homework Help programs throughout Lenoir, Jones and Greene counties to provide students and parents additional resources, one-on-one tutoring, and access to Wi-Fi to help support learning.
Despite initial success, once popular programs like Homework Help and STEM 4 All experienced a sharp decline in attendance in the new year, leaving staff members pondering: what happened?
