CANTON, N.Y. (WWNY) - United Helpers Rehabilitation and Senior Care in Canton reported one more death from COVID-19 Tuesday.
The total number of residents who have died from the coronavirus is now 11.
A total of 86 staff and 63 residents have tested positive since November 29.
There have been no new deaths reported at United Helpers Rehabilitation and Senior Care in Ogdensburg since last Monday.
That total remains at 23.
Eighty-two staff and 130 residents have tested positive there since November 22.

CANTON, N.Y. (WWNY) - United Helpers Rehabilitation and Senior Care in Canton reports another COVID-19 death.
Itâs the first reported since Tuesday. The total is now eight.
A total of 84 staff and 63 residents have tested positive since November 29.
There have been no new deaths reported at United Helpers Rehabilitation and Senior Care in Ogdensburg since Monday.
That total remains at 23.

Dec 31, 2020 The first round of vaccinations of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine began this morning at United Helpers Rehabilitation and Senior Care in Canton, as the management company also reported 11 more residents and 18 additional staff had tested positive for the virus.
The organization shared photos Thursday of employees in Canton receiving their first dose of the two-dose innoculation from a visiting pharmacist, and holding up their vaccination cards.

CANTON, N.Y. (WWNY) - Some would say superheroes work at United Helpers Rehabilitation and Senior Care in Canton.
“I can only say that while they’re under an incredible amount of stress, they keep showing up and doing their job,” said Stephen Knight, CEO, United Helpers.
Staff members working overtime to care for those living at the Canton facility where five residents have passed away from COVID-19.
