Star man injured in eastern Idaho crash KTVB Staff © Provided by KTVB-TV Boise A Treasure Valley man was hurt when the semi he was driving overturned in eastern Idaho Wednesday afternoon.  The wreck happened at 4:50 p.m. on Idaho 28, north of Lone Pine in Clark County. Idaho State Police say 39-year-old Joshua Davis of Star was headed east when the trailer he was hauling went off the road. Davis was unable to regain control and the semi tipped over on the right shoulder of the highway. Davis was taken by ambulance to Steele Memorial Medical Center in Salmon. Lanes were blocked on Idaho 28 for about three hours, but have since been reopened. The crash remains under investigation.

The National Weather Service in Pocatello is forecasting “wet and heavy snow for at least 48 hours.” The areas of impact extend from Stanley and Ketchum to Jackson and from West Yellowstone to Twin Falls and Montpelier. The areas of Blackfoot and Pocatello are not included. The Central Idaho Mountains in Blaine, Butte, Camas, Custer, and Lemhi Counties are expected to get the heaviest snowfall from Wednesday morning to Thursday night. Anywhere between eight and 20 inches is possible, the NWS says, with strong winds causing blowing and drifting snow on the roads.
