Construction of Ndumbi Port in Tanzania 55% complete Construction of Ndumbi Port in Tanzania 55% complete Modified date: Construction of US $5.3m Ndumbi Port on the shores of Lake Nyasa in Tanzania is 55% complete and is expected to be completed in October this year. According to Unitec Civil Consultant Project Engineer Joshua Makwere, they were given 22 months for the project and all is going well and they expected to finish it before the projected time. “This project started in December 2019 and is expected to be completed by October 2021. The project is 55% complete and we expect to finish it by the end of time,” said the engineer after the board of directors of the Tanzania Shipping Agency Corporation (Tasac)’s tour of the project site.
