Banijay Rights has promoted Claire Jago to EVP, EMEA sales and acquisitions, taking responsibility for the team and activity across the entire region, reporting to the division’s CEO, Cathy Payne.
Jago takes on the role following eight months as SVP, Nordics at Banijay Rights. Prior to the acquisition of Endemol Shine Group by Banijay, she was a senior sales director for Endemol Shine International. Now expanding her remit, she will oversee the group’s cross-genre sales and acquisitions strategy in the region, representing its 100,000+ hour-strong catalogue.
Banijay Rights’ portfolio includes MasterChef, Big Brother, Survivor, Mr Bean, Peaky Blinders, Temptation Island, Grantchester, Big Brother and upcoming scripted title, Chloe.
Banijay Rights names EMEA sales lead
Banijay Rights, the distribution arm of European production giant Banijay, has promoted from within to fill the role of executive VP, EMEA sales and acquisitions.

Claire Jago takes on the position following eight months as senior VP, Nordics, at Banijay Rights. She replaces Tim Mutimer, who left the company to serve as CEO of London-based distributor Cineflix Rights.
In her expanded role, Jago will now take responsibility for the team and activity across EMEA, reporting to Banijay Rights CEO Cathy Payne.
Alongside Jago, Matt Creasey will continue in his role as executive VP, sales, coproductions and acquisitions, rest of the world, handling territories outside EMEA.

Banijay Rights has promoted Claire Jago to executive VP for EMEA sales and acquisitions, with responsibility for the team and activity across the entire region.
Jago has spent the last eight months as senior VP for the Nordics at Banijay Rights. Prior to the acquisition of Endemol Shine Group by Banijay, she was a senior sales director for Endemol Shine International. Her new post sees her reporting directly to CEO Cathy Payne.
Payne commented: “Claire has a proven track record across EMEA, is a determined sales force and demonstrates tremendous commercial judgement, making her the perfect fit for the role. We have worked together for years and I look forward to continuing to partner closely in further building out our success course in the region.”
Vice renews partnership with Channel 4
Vice Distribution renewed its partnership on Tuesday with UK broadcaster Channel 4 to air more than 120 hours of original Vice TV content on All 4.
The deal includes 70 hours of new programming with content including
Black Market (pictured),
American Football.
“Vice shows are compelling and compatible for All 4 viewers and we are delighted to evolve this partnership into including first run content,” said Nick Lee, Channel 4 head of acquisitions. “This partnership provides All 4 viewers with even more potential for discovery of new and surprising content.”
Vice Distribution launched last summer, and has a catalogue of more than 1,000 hours of programming, with content partnerships already announced with Pluto TV, Discovery+, SBS Australia and Hulu.
