Ipo Dam opens one gate as LPAs bring rain Published December 27, 2020 6:20pm One gate of the Ipo Dam in Norzagaray, Bulacan was partially opened on Sunday afternoon as two low-pressure areas (LPAs) brought rains, the PAGASA Hydrometeorology Division Flood Forecasting and Warning Section said. In its 2 p.m. situationer, the state weather bureau said one gate of the Ipo Dam was opened by half a meter. PAGASA said residents of Norzagaray, Angat, San Rafael, Bustos, Baliuag, Pulilan, and Plaridel were likely to be affected by the discharge of both dams. The Ipo Dam’s water level was at 100.32 meters, close to its spilling level of 101 meters, while the Angat Dam recorded a water level of 213.38, which exceeded its spilling level of 212 meters.
