Leading up to the Aug. 24, 2018 shooting, Reifert said she did not tell Bauman about her relationship with Port Huron Police Lt. Joel Wood. Why didn t you tell him that you were seeing someone else? Bauman is accused of killing Wood and injuring Reifert, and her neighbor, Tim Fuester. in Clyde Township.
Reifert and Bauman married in October 2013. Reifert said in 2015, Bauman became angry because she refused to follow his instructions. He punched the door, threw pieces of furniture down the stairs and pushed her to the ground.
