Fire crews battling 1,000-acre Batterman Road Fire in East Wenatchee KOMO News Staff
WENATCHEE, Wash. – Firefighters are battling a 1,000-acre brush fire east of Wenatchee.
Level 3 evacuation notices are in place for homes from N. Ward Ave to Keane Grad Road.
All other residences in the area are under Level 2 evacuations. Approximately 80 homes are in the evacuation areas, no injuries or damage to structures have been reported.
Multiple air and ground fire resources are currently working to control the Batterman Road Fire which was at 1,000 acres as of Sunday afternoon.
The Douglas County Sheriff s Office says wind and dry conditions are causing the fire to rapidly grow.

The Douglas County Sheriff s Office says wind is causing rapid fire growth.
Multiple structures are threatened.
Level 3 evacuation notices have been issued for some residents. An emergency shelter has been established at Eastmont High School.
Approximately 80 homes are under various evacuation level notifications.
There were no reports of injuries or structure losses as of Sunday afternoon.

Level 3 evacuations are being issued from N. Ward Ave. to Keane Grade Road and from Rock Island Grade road from Moses Stool to highway 28.

The Batterman Road fire is reported to be over 1600 acres large, according to the Douglas County Sheriff s Department.
Approximately, 80 homes are under various evacuation level notifications. Various resource requests have been submitted in conjunction with the state mobilization authorization.
