WOODINVILLE, Wash. Voters in Kenmore and Lake Forest Park will decide in a special election Tuesday if the Northshore Fire Department will merge with Woodinville Fire & Rescue.
The firefighters union doesn’t support the idea.
”It s a better deployment model for us, no one loses a job,” said Northshore Fire Department Deputy Fire Chief Doug McDonald.
McDonald said Prop 1 will allow for more efficient use of resources.

KING COUNTY, Wash. Multiple crews are continuing to battle a large brush fire burning in south King County Sunday evening.
The fire was reported around 4:30 p.m. in the area of 35200 Green Valley Road near Black Diamond in King County.
The fire was caused by a burn pile that got out of control, according to fire officials.

NORTH REDMOND, Wash. - One person was killed and another was critically injured in a domestic violence incident Tuesday morning in the English Hill area north of Redmond, officials said. Sheriff's deputies and medics responded to the scene, a home in the 13600 block of 179th Avenue NE, at around 8 a. m. after receiving reports of a domestic disturbance, said Woodinville Fire & Rescue. One victim was found dead at the scene.
