Cheektowaga police say one person was thrown from the car, after hitting a utility pole and a building, just before 4:00 a.m. Monday.
Police have not identified the female victim. They say the victim is in critical condition at Erie County Medical Center.
Police say there were multiple people in the car. The driver has been arrested for driving while intoxicated. The driver s name has not been released.
