Beginning in March, much of my work has involved Western New York lives claimed or turned upside down by Covid-19. Those accounts were often intertwined with the selflessness of those who quietly tried to save or protect others threatened by the virus: Doctors. Nurses. Home care workers. Cleaning people. Everyday family members. Teachers. Group home staff.

Three people were killed in a car accident on the afternoon of Monday, December 28, 2020. The two-vehicle accident happened where Genesee Street intersects with Kilhoffer Street in Buffalo, according to WKBW. The Buffalo Police Department said the victims were two men and a woman,
BPD say three people are deceased in connection with a two vehicle accident at Genesee St. & Kilhoffer just before 1pm. Police say other victims have been transported to hospitals. Motorists should avoid the area & use alternate routes.
A pedestrian was injured by debris from the accident. An 18-year-old in one of the vehicles was taken to Erie County Medical Center. Both suffered serious injuries according to Buffalo Police Captain Jeff Rinaldo.
PEMBROKE - An Akron man who had to be rescued from his car which split in half and landed in Murder Creek in October now faces felony DWI charges, Genesee County sheriffâs deputies said.
Brent J. Graham, 32, of Sand Hill Road was charged with felony DWI, felony aggravated DWI for having a blood alcohol content of more than 18 percent, felony aggravated unlicensed operation, reckless driving and unreasonable speed. He also was charged with moving from a lane unsafely, operating without a court-ordered Interlock device because of a previous DWI conviction and operating in violation of restrictions.
The charges came after an investigation into a crash Oct. 25.
