In reference to the recent news of the ouster of U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., I only have this to say: The Republicans have shown what they are. They are nothing but a group of power-hungry men and women who are relying on a person who betrayed his country to help them regain power on Capitol Hill. Then, they can do what they do best: hinder the efforts of a Democratic president in making America step into the future just like they did during the Obama presidency.

FILE. Letter writer says, The Republicans of our Senate would not know what impartial justice would be. As Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell blatantly proclaimed before the trial was finished, “I will vote to acquit. This is impartial? I am angry. These words are going through my mind: “…. I will do impartial justice according to the Constitution and laws: so help me God.” Each Senator raised his right hand and took this oath. What a sham.

The Minnesota Crop Improvement Association will convene its 118th annual meeting Jan. 13.
The meeting, which all MCIA members are encouraged to attend, will be held virtually, via Zoom. For those who have not been able to attend an MCIA annual meeting in the past, the virtual format provides an opportunity to participate.
Each December, the American Seed Trade Association (ASTA) hosts America’s largest seed industry convention as the Christmas Season begins traditionally in the Chicago Hyatt Regency at the top of the Magnificent Mile.
This year, like everything else since March, the ASTA CSS and Seed Expo was virtual, and that allowed nearly 1000 attendees from around the world to participate and have access to timely industry content, like the annual outlook for the agricultural economy with Dan Basse. People are still registering for the event to see some of the great panels and presentations.
In this edition of the ZimmCast, we recap some of the highlights of #ASTACSS, including interviews with Basse, ASTA chair John Latham, Iowa farmer Pam Johnson, and ASTA CEO Andy LaVigne. Find more interviews and other media content from the event on the AgNewsWire virtual newsroom.
