Minnesota's marijuana market is a work in progress now and some local entrepreneurs are trying to get a head start on the August 1 "go" date by starting with seeds, but it's a tricky business.
In just a couple of months, Minnesotans will be able to grow their own cannabis plants and local businesses are eager to help them get started. But there is one thing they can’t sell cannabis seed.
While 22 states have legalized growing the plant for medical or recreational uses, it remains illegal federally, and moving marijuana products across state lines is banned in most states.
