Carltonâs appointment of John Worsfold is a âconcessionâ that their current group of assistant coaches isnât enough to support senior coach David Teague, says Garry Lyon.
Worsfold will work alongside Teague and the Blues coaching staff in a consultancy role for the 2021 season and will be in âregular contact with the coaching group and attend select games during the year in a mentorship capacityâ.
âItâs a concession from Carlton that they need more. Itâs a concession, it is,â Lyon told
SEN Breakfast.
âBecause when you put your team together at the end of the year and say, âThis is our coaching group, this our senior coach and our assistants, thatâs your teamâ and then five games into a season youâre adding someone, the way I read it, that is a concession that we need more, we havenât got enough right now.
