Lyon and Watson weigh in on Riewoldt s concussion protocol comments
By
Nick Riewoldt told
Fox Footy on Wednesday night that if he was in Chelsea Randallâs position, he would take the âarbitraryâ protocols to the Supreme Court if it meant he could play in the Grand Final.

Lyon understands where the former Saints captain is coming from and believes that exact mindset is what the AFL is protecting players from.

The AFL has explained why Gold Coast veteran Jarrod Harbrow was not suspended for his high hit on Carlton’s Michael Gibbons.
The bump last Saturday night collected the Blue in the jaw, sending him from the field for a concussion test.
Despite the AFL’s claims that the head is sacrosanct and the suspensions of the likes of Zac Williams and Patrick Dangerfield for the potential to cause serious injury already this year, Harbrow was allowed to walk free because he was apparently playing the ball.
