Geelong agrees on need to fast track for renewable energy

Date Time Geelong agrees on need to fast track for renewable energy Attendees at a sold-out forum this week on Geelong’s energy needs were unanimous in calling for an urgent transition to renewable energy sources. The Geelong Energy Futures Forum was held in response to proposals to build floating gas terminals in the Geelong area. Viva Energy and Dutch company Vopak, base their proposals for terminals in Corio Bay and nearby Avalon Beach on a supposed shortfall in gas supplies for Victoria. As the teller was counting out the pineapples, he looked at my wife and said, ‘Let me guess, you’re paying off a tradesman right?’ He was spot on. Some things never change!” An example of our much-beloved Australian vernacular has been amusing the self-described “92-year-old ex-Pom”, Dorothy Bragg of Avalon Beach. “Regarding the COVID vaccine roll-out, I just heard an official personage say, ‘Three-fifths of bugger-all has been done.’ Only in Australia would this be said. I love it!”
