On the morning a hairdresser was about to unknowingly take Covid-19 from the northern beaches to the boutique eastern Sydney suburb of Paddington, the person went out for breakfast.
It was Wednesday, December 16, and the hair-stylist left home and drove to Pronto Creative Foods, a popular Italian cafe on Barrenjoey Road.
Stopping after 7.30am, the hairdresser then travelled 40km to inner suburban Sydney and one of its most fashionable strips, William Street in Paddington.
There the person started work at Salon X, working on clients including a woman who worked at Alimentari Cafe, four doors down.

NYE will not be a cracker night but a fizzer. Issue a free packet of sparklers to everyone. All citizens to stand on the driveway or balcony and ââignite for 2021ââ. It should be OK to throw in some Tom Thumbs and Double Happys from the olden days.
A testing blitz is underway in Wollongong in a race to stop the spread of coronavirus after new cases were revealed outside of the Northern Beaches cluster and two churches have been identified as hotspots.
NSW Health said last night that anyone who attended St Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church in Wollongong on Sunday between 9am and 10.15am or The Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in Wollongong on Sunday between 10.30am and 11am must be tested immediately and self-isolate after both locations were visited by a confirmed COVID-19 case.
Dozens had already swarmed testing clinics in Wollongong after it was revealed earlier that the Sydney outbreak had escaped the Northern Beaches.
