In a move that’s not at all desperate, Atari claims it will be launching an online casino in May. More specifically, an Ethereum blockchain casino built around “Atari-themed games.”
The venture is a partnership with Decentral Games, and according to the company’s blog, the Atari Casino will feature nostalgia-tinged games, with some being luck-based, while others combine skill and luck. Because, you know, gambling. However, the companies also say there will be an “Atari special” game where players can win based on skill. Players will be able to earn $DG, Decentral Games’ own token, by playing with MANA, DAI, and a new special Atari token (ATRI).
Nintendo Announces Switch Online December 2020 Game Updates
The Nintendo Switch Online service has been highly-regarded for offering up portable playback for a slew of classic NES and SNES games, and Nintendo announced today that we’ll get a new handful of games to enjoy soon on the platform. The NES side of the ledger features Nightshade – a Konami release under their Ultra Games label. This point and click-style adventure was something unique for the platform and as a latter-day release on the hardware, never quite saw much in the way of popularity despite getting high marks during its time and after.

The final Switch Online update of 2020 will also be the biggest one of the year.
The SNES library will add four new games on Friday, with a solo title for the NES library. The main title (and only first-party one) is Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong s Double Trouble to complete the original DKC trilogy on Switch Online. Other titles coming this week include 1993 Jaleco brawler Tuff E Nuff (aka Dead Dance in Japan), 1992 Atlus release Super Valis IV (the final release of the platformer series in North America), and The Ignition Factor.
