Despite J&J COVID vaccine halt, Somerset County says it will honor appointments Replay Video UP NEXT Somerset County residents who have an appointment to get a COVID-19 vaccine will still be able to get vaccinated despite the suspension of the Johnson & Johnson shot. The county will now be using the Moderna vaccine, which requires two shots instead of the one-shot J&J vaccine, for all vaccinations. However, the county has suspended its homebound vaccination program until the Centers for Disease Control and Food and Drug Administration complete their review of the J&J vaccine.
