“I presented a letter, on the behalf of the Board of Commissioners, seeking reconsideration of the cuts, Soloway said. The governor was polite in his response.
In the letter, Soloway said that increased funds from the President Joe Biden s administration could enable the state to restore the aid cuts. EDISON – A church on Woodbridge Avenue is looking to expand its facility.
A zoning board hearing on an application by the Iselin Christian Assembly for preliminary and final site plan approval scheduled for Tuesday night was postponed, according to the meeting agenda. No new date for hearing has been scheduled.
The church wants to build a 9,000-square-foot addition to its existing structure and add a parking lot with 66 spaces at the property at 2803 Woodbridge Ave.
A conditional use variance to expand the church requires 3 acres of land, but the applicant is proposing to expand on a 2.95-acre lot.
The Edison site is owned by Iselin Christian Assembly on South Avenue in Cranford, a Methodist church with an East Asian, mostly mainland Chinese, congregation from throughout Union County, according to an online listing.
