Shrove Tuesday is a day celebrated by many Christian faiths as the last day of “fat-eating” before Ash Wednesday, the first day of lent. Typically, Christians will get together and enjoy a pancake supper to kick off the 40 day period of lent leading up to Easter. This year however amid the COVID-19 pandemic, celebrations are going to look a little bit different.
St. Paul’s Cathedral is set to host a virtual celebration for Shrove Tuesday or “pancake Tuesday.” With in-person services having been halted since the London area entered the COVID-19 red zone on December 14th 2020, this year’s celebration will be conducted over Zoom.

Mayor Ed Holder expressed that London needs to generate 3,000 new affordable housing units and we are averaging about 150 new units each year.
“If that remains our pace, it would take us 20 years to achieve. That’s unacceptable.”
He declared a five-year mission to build 3,000 affordable housing units and get London to “functional zero” when it comes to chronic homelessness.

Four months after Health Canada allowed a handful of palliative care patients to use Psilocybin as a way to relieve end-of-life suffering. More than a dozen health professionals can use the psychedelic drug themselves to help develop therapies for future use. TheraPsil is a non-profit coalition dedicated to helping Canadians in medical need access legal, Psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy to treat end-of-life distress. Communications director at TheraPsil, Holly Bennett, said that “experience is the best teacher”.
