St Paul s Cathedral to host virtual pancake supper on Shrove Tuesday

Shrove Tuesday is a day celebrated by many Christian faiths as the last day of “fat-eating” before Ash Wednesday, the first day of lent. Typically, Christians will get together and enjoy a pancake supper to kick off the 40 day period of lent leading up to Easter. This year however amid the COVID-19 pandemic, celebrations are going to look a little bit different. St. Paul’s Cathedral is set to host a virtual celebration for Shrove Tuesday or “pancake Tuesday.” With in-person services having been halted since the London area entered the COVID-19 red zone on December 14th 2020, this year’s celebration will be conducted over Zoom.
