In a tragic incident, eight people killed and many others have been injured when a travels bus plunged into a valley on the Araku Ghat road. The mishap took place on late Friday. According to the reports, the dead bodies of four peole have been retrieved from the valley. Police said that the accident took place due to the mere negligence of the bus driver.
It is said that the bus was going at a speed of 50 to 60 kmph at the time of the accident and the driver was unable to notice the turning point at Dumuku in Ananthagiri mandal on the Araku ghat road. According to the police, the accident took place as the person driving fell asleep at the wheel. The bus was in a proper condition. It is said that the driver was so tired and could not able to control the bus.

At least four people have been killed after a tourist bus carrying 20 people plunged into a gorge in Araku valley. Several people are still missing while rescue and relief operations by the Vizag rural police are underway.
The incident happened when the bus was returning from a tourist destination Araku to Visakhapatnam.

Five people including a child have died, and 13 others are injured after a bus carrying over 30 passengers fell into a gorge at Anantagiri near Araku in Visakhapatnam district on Friday night.
The bus reportedly skid off the road and fell into a gorge. Visakhapatnam range DIG Ranga Rao told PTI that their teams had reached the spot for rescue operations.
Another senior police official said rescue operations by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and state Fire Service personnel were on. According to locals, the passengers were natives of Telangana who were on a visit to Araku, a hill station.

VIJAYAWADA: At least four persons, including an eight-month-old baby girl, were killed and 22 others injured 10 of them critically in a major accident on Araku ghat road in Visakhapatnam district late Friday evening.
As per the information available, 26 tourists, all of them said to be from Telangana, were returning to Visakhapatnam after a visit to Araku valley when the mini-bus they were travelling in plunged at least 100 ft into the valley at a bend on the ghat road around 8 pm.
