2 New Streets in Dangriga
There is some welcome news to report for Dangriga as the Dangriga Town Council, under the leadership of Mayor Robert Mariano, is pushing forward with its street rehabilitation plans for the municipality. Recently, the council signed a contract for the repair of two streets including the one in front of the bus terminal. And now, access was provided for over fifteen families in the Wageirale area with assistance from the Ministry of Infrastructural Development. News Five spoke with Mayor Mariano via phone today.

The Ministry of Infrastructure Development will be executing a scaled-down road works project on the Caracol Road. According to Minister Julius Espat, his Ministry has deferred phase two of the project, but after they did a review of the plans in place they were able to recuperate twenty-eight million dollars in savings. He says they are now they are using that money to execute a reduced version of much needed road upgrades.
