COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After losing to Jackson Northwest by 33 points in their first meeting, the Coldwater Lady Cardinals hung tough with the Mounties on Thursday night at the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium before they were beaten by Northwest 38-28.
The second quarter turned out to be the big difference in the game as the Mounties outscored Coldwater 13-2 to take a 17-6 lead at the half. The second half was fairly even with Coldwater owning a 22-21 edge in the final 16 minutes.
Abby Herman led Coldwater with 10 points while Brooke Moore added six points. Layne Sleight of Northwest scored a game-high 18 points.
