Infant dies at Machhar Colony home

A nine-month-old girl was found dead in her home located in Machhar Colony, said an official of the Docks police station on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Maria Jamil.
Police said her family initially claimed that the infant had been found dead outside their house, but later on in the investigation, it was found that the girl had died at home.
The official said that the police are waiting for the report of the minor’s post-mortem examination to determine the actual cause of death while they continue their investigation.

The demonstration began at the Student Union and moved down High Street to the Statehouse.
They gathered in a circle Wednesday night, the crowd probably 300 strong, standing on the broken and weedy patch of parking lot pavement and chanting the 16-year-old girl s name.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A day after 16-year-old Ma Khia Bryant was shot and killed by a Columbus police officer, demonstrations spread throughout the city as protesters demanded police accountability.
During a vigil for Ma Khia Wednesday night, local organizer Hana Abdur Rahim called for abolition of the police system. The system is not broken. There s no cracks in the system. The system was designed for white supremacy, Abdur Rahim said. The system was designed perfectly. We need to design a new one.
The teen was shot 20 minutes before a guilty verdict was announced against former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, fueling renewed outrage over police-involved deaths.
