Report: N.J. boy killed, mother severely injured in dog attack

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. A New Jersey boy was killed Tuesday and his mother was badly injured after they were attacked by two dogs in Carteret, reported NJ.com, the Advance/SILive.com’s sister site.
The child, who was 3 years old, was transported to a local hospital after the attack at a private home, where he was pronounced deceased, according to the report.
It was not yet clear who the dogs belonged to, authorities told NJ.com.

Police on Staten Island have launched a public information campaign cautioning residents about car thieves targeting areas with high-priced homes where high-end vehicles too often are left unlocked with the key fob inside.
