STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Realtor Joan Camerlengo said all of the properties listed through her New Dorp agency sold during 2020.
The broker/owner of Joan Camerlengo Realty attributed the high sales volume to a “pent-up demand” following the PAUSE across the state that shuttered virtually all industry between March 22 and June 22, 2020. During that time, only virtual tours were allowed across the state.

Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 13. On April 13, 1970, the Apollo 13’s lunar landing was aborted in what would become a historic mission. The crippled Apollo 13 spacecraft splashed down on April 17, 1970.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. To stay on the positive and finish the year on a “hoorah” note, we celebrate chefs and owners who pivoted during the pandemic with continued optimism and constant innovation.
One can see the fiber of a person, especially kitchen people, when faced with adversity. In some, difficult times bring out the best a mind can muster. Indeed, the darkest days of the pandemic, arguably, might have been between March 16 (when indoor dining became illegal) and about May 1. That latter date is when the business carnage became even more pronounced with the realization of how customers’ seasonal and daily routines had so dramatically changed.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Whenever a major snowstorm heads for Staten Island, children and some parents make the trek to the borough’s best hills to go sledding.
A massive snowstorm is approaching New York City on Wednesday into Thursday, and it’s expected to dump up to 12 inches of the white powder across the five boroughs, including Staten Island. The snow will be wet, heavy snow, AccuWeather senior meteorologist Tyler Roys previously told the Advance/SILive.com.
