Steve, who has been the Deputy Headteacher at the St Joseph’s primary school in Shaw for 17 years and runs his own ‘Team Hill Charitable Trust’, received a hugely prestigious Civic Appreciation Award from the town of Oldham, presented by Mayor Councillor Ginny Alexander. The award is in recognition of his significant contribution, dedication and charitable work for the local community and Borough of Oldham.

Fantastic fund-raiser Steve gears up for Great Norse Run challenge Date published: 23 April 2021 Steve Hill has taken on numerous gruelling challenges right across the world, and now he s off to Iceland Shaw school teacher and fund-raiser extraordinaire Steve Hill has announced details of his next big challenge for 2021 – to conquer ‘the Great Norse Run’. Steve, who has been the Deputy Headteacher at the St Joseph’s primary school for 17 years, has vowed to run nine marathons in nine days across Iceland - the land of fire and ice – for 250 miles from the North to the South of the country. He will be raising money for Team Hill Charitable Trust.
