PM Imran Khan performs Umrah with wife during Saudi visit
09 May 2021 Imran Khan and his wife perform the Umrah pilgrimage in Makkah. AFP Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday performed Umrah after he reached Makkah during his three-day visit to Saudi Arabia.
The prime minister reached Makkah along with his wife and members of the Pakistani delegation to perform the ritual in one of the holiest sites of Islam.
Before performing Tawaf, the doors of the Holy Kaaba were opened for Prime Minister Imran Khan, where he was allowed to witness it from inside.
Earlier, while being in Masjid-e-Nabvi on Saturday, the prime minister was given a rare respect to visit the Sacred Prophetic Chamber, also known as Al Hujratu n-nabawīyatu l-sharīfa. The Sacred Chamber was once the house (Hujra) of Hazrat Aisha (R.A.).

Islamabad : The US Navy’s navigation operations in India’s exclusive economic zone (EEZ) is an attempt to assert its dominating role in the Indian Ocean Region and carries a message for the coastal states in the region, especially major maritime powers India and China.
This was the crux of the thoughts shared by panelists in a webinar on ‘Freedom of Navigation Operations Patrol (FONOP) – Issues and Legalities’, which was organised by the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS), Islamabad.
Chaired by IPS Vice Chairman, former ambassador Syed Abrar Hussain, the session was addressed by Commodore (r) Syed Mohammad Obaidullah SI(M), former executive director, Pakistan National Shipping Corporation and founding director of National Centre for Maritime Policy Research, and Commodore (r) Baber Bilal SI(M), director, National Institute of Maritime Affairs, Islamabad.

Two leaders reaffirm the strong and historic bonds between the two countries rooted firmly in shared beliefs

Prime Minister Imran Khan and Crown Prince His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman have affirmed their commitment to fortify the upward trajectory in Pakistan - Saudi Arabia bilateral relations, said the Ministery of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) in a statement issued on Saturday.
The prime minister met the crown prince in Jeddah and held wide-ranging talks on bilateral, regional and international issues. The talks were marked by exceptional cordiality and a commitment to fortify the upward trajectory in the bilateral relationship. The two sides also agreed upon further deepening cooperation in all fields.
