ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan Monday paid a surprise visit to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Covid-19 ward and interacted with the staff and patients.
Following the standard operating procedures (SOPs), the prime minister visited the hospital and was briefed by doctors about the virus, number of patients and their condition and availability of related facilities for them. Imran reemphasized strict adherence to the corona SOPs for complete prevention. Imran Khan will speak again directly to the people over the phone Tuesday (today) at 1:30PM and answer questions. PTI Senator Faisal Javed said, “Prime Minister Imran Khan will once again speak to you directly on the phone.” Senator Faisal Javed said the conversation of people with Prime Minister Imran Khan would be broadcast live on television, radio and digital media. Says Pakistan would welcome the third-party facilitation by Saudi Arabia for resumption of talks with India.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan would not make any U-turns when it comes to the Kashmir issue, said Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Tuesday, adding that Kashmir is not an internal matter of India.
Speaking during a press conference in Islamabad, the foreign minister said: “Pakistan has not made any U-turn and will never do so. The dispute, which is at the agenda of United Nations Security Council, with several resolutions on it, cannot be an internal matter of India.

MADINA: Senator Faisal Javed and Saudi Arabia s Acting Minister of Media Dr Majid Bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi exchanged views on promoting Islamic history via TV, a statement said.
The statement said the two officials discussed content sharing and exhibiting Islamic history via TV serials and films.
Moreover, bilateral exchange of knowledge, ideas, talent, and content between Pakistani and Saudi entertainment industries, especially to promote Islamic history via art, came under discussion.

ISLAMABAD: The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has decided to close vaccination centres on the first two days of Eidul Fitr instead of the three days as was being considered earlier, benefitting at least 200,000 people.
On the other hand, the country saw a decline in the number of casualties and new cases. A total of 78 people succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours compared to 118 a day earlier, whereas 3,447 tested positive in a single day against 4,569 the previous day.
