The inaugural flight to San Francisco and Bengaluru ,connecting the world’s two tech hubs, the original
Silicon Valley and the Silicon Valley of India, landed on Monday morning at the Kempegowda International Airport (
KIA). This maiden flight created history, by being the first all-women, non-stop flight between the West Coast of USA and South India.
Additionally, this was also the longest commercial flight in the world to be operated by
Air India.
The all-women cockpit Crew included Capt Zoya Aggarwal (P1), Capt Papagari Thanmai (P1), Capt Akansha Sonaware (P2) and Capt Shivani Manhas (P2). Air India has added a new route, it’s longest direct flight from San Francisco to Bengaluru, India. The very first non-stop flight connecting the two tech cities landed Monday and made history in the process because of the all-women cockpit crew.
There were four female pilots commanding the plane in the nearly 17-hour landmark trip: Captain
Zoya Agarwal, Captain
Akankshaand Captain
Shivani. They took off from California and flew a distance of nearly 10-thousand miles over the North Pole before landing at Kempegowda International Airport in India. According to Air India, this will be the longest commercial flight in the world to be operated by them or any other airline in India.

It simply starts rotating around its axis. Robert Peary, a US Navy Engineer, in 1909, was the first ever human in the recorded history to have been able to take his ship on the North Pole. The year is 2021. It’s been 112 years. And there have been many successful and unsuccessful attempts to make it to the north pole. A good majority of people were able to touch the North Pole and some couldn’t.
