Sponsors terrorism all over the world, a country that is developing long range rockets a country that we know has been working on acquiring a Nuclear Weapon capability despite and has always had a secret component to their plan will retain the ability to process uranium. Theres a reduction in centrifuges and in term tz of what they can do, in terms of research and development and the secretary of energy has laid this out clearly. Here the problem. Number one they retain all the infrastructure they wid need to break all those caps. Second enforcing such a deal requires there to be open, full inspections. Iran is saying they will not allow access to military facilities. Thats problematic. The United States does not acknowledge that would be the reality. They said these would be the most Intrusive Inspections yet and they have a year to stop any uranium development. We should never have retreated from the position that iran does not have the right to enrich uranium. We should have insiste
Pr prizbillus, senior political reporter at usa today. Chris, yesterday sean spicer said he did not believe anyone in the campaign or transition knew Michael Flynn had this history of lobbying for a Foreign Government, specifically for turkey. Today he struggled to explain exactly what happened. Give us what the white house is saying this hour about what they knew and didnt know. Reporter theyre trying to switch the focus. Theyre trying to put the focus on the fact it was just a couple days ago that general flynn actually filed to say that he was essentially an agent of a Foreign Government that really wasnt the repeated question asked of him. Republican senator john cornyn said correctly that there was absolutely no reason for what rand paul was doing. So the senator from kentucky by objecting to the unanimous consent request will effectively shut down the federal government. For no real reason. I know he wants to make a point. He has that right. I agree with many of his concerns about deficits and debt but we are in an emergency situation. When this bill passes the senate and it will, it will go to the house of representatives where it might face a bit more of a challenge. Joining us now from capitol hill is garrett haake, an msnbc correspondent, also with us former deputy chief of staff to senator harry reid and the director of Public Affairs for democracy forward. Also david jolly, former republican congressman from florida and jose barro with us in new york a Senior Editor
