The murder of an elderly couple in their Brisbane home has been declared a âterrorism eventâ and they are believed to have been victims of a ârandomâ attack by a man later shot dead by police.
Authorities are so concerned they continue to doorknock all the neighbouring homes in the Parkinson area to check whether there are any more victims.
Detectives have uncovered a link between the man shot dead on the Logan Motorway, 22-year-old Raghe Abdi, and the couple killed in their Parkinson home - Maurice Antill, 87, and Zoe Antill, 86.

Raghe Abdi, 22, was shot dead by police when he allegedly lunged at them armed with a knife on Brisbane s Logan Motorway early on Thursday morning.
Abdi, who had allegedly been influenced by Somali extremist group al-Shabab, was on bail and had previously been arrested by counterterrorism officers.
Police say Abdi is directly linked to the deaths of a 87-year-old man and an 86-year-old woman, whose bodies were found with significant injuries in a home at Parkinson on Thursday afternoon.
Muslim community leader Ali Kadri revealed freshly obtained dashcam footage from the motorway showed Abdi with his hands in his pockets - just moments before he was killed.
