The murder of an elderly couple in their Brisbane home has been declared a âterrorism eventâ and they are believed to have been victims of a ârandomâ attack by a man later shot dead by police.
Authorities are so concerned they continue to doorknock all the neighbouring homes in the Parkinson area to check whether there are any more victims.
Detectives have uncovered a link between the man shot dead on the Logan Motorway, 22-year-old Raghe Abdi, and the couple killed in their Parkinson home - Maurice Antill, 87, and Zoe Antill, 86.

The family of suspected murderer Raghe Abdi, who was shot dead by police on a Queensland motorway this week, say the 22-year-old was not radicalised but had mental health issues.
Mr Abdi, from Calamvale, was wielding a knife when officers confronted him on the Logan Motorway in Drewvale on Thursday morning, hours after he cut the GPS tracking device he wore as part of his bail conditions.

A young man who was shot dead by police on the Logan Motorway on Thursday has been directly linked to the double murder of an elderly couple, with officers describing the incident as a terrorism event , Queensland police say.
His father said Mr Abdi, who had been previously investigated by counter-terrorism police, was experiencing a mental health crisis and was feeling harassed .
