Rain in pennsylvania. Its going to be a steady rain into the afternoon hours. Finally tapering off as we go into the evening hours. At the shore, though, things are going to be improving. New jersey is at 49 degrees with rain falling. Were starting to see breaks of sunshine in cape may. And there, check out that. Thats a view of wildwood, which is seeing blue sky at this hour. The rain, the steady rain, the heavy stuff, has moved inland, and well see it come down in berks county and upper chester county. Falling at more than 1 1 3 inches an hour. Troubles here today down at the jersey shore. Were talking about wave heights on the ocean waters off the coast of 5 to 8 feet. High tide will occur between 7 00 and 9 00 this morning. Some of the predictions ive seen have the tide at 4. 8 feet. Now fast forward to 8 00 tonight, that tide is expected to be at 5. 6 feet. So expect moderate flooding. Because of that, there is a coastal Flood Warning in place for local street flooding and then later tonight, that warning extends to the back bays. Keep in mind, if you are in the back bays, youre going to see the high tide up to five hours later than you would if you were on the ocean front. That warning is going to extend until 1 00 a. M. Sunday morning here at the jersey shore, at the delaware bay and beaches and keep in mind, if youre out driving around because there is flooding, it only takes a couple feet of water to actually move your vehicle for you to lose control.
