The governor of Katsina State says 344 children are on their way back from the forest where they were being held. The bbcs nigeria correspondent mayenijones is in kano, in katsina. She says the news obviously comes as a huge relief to the parents. So the State Government has told the bbc that 344 boys have been released and are currently on their way from a forest in the nieghbouring state of zamfara to the state capital of katsina in North Western nigeria. In the neighbouring state of zamfara to the state capital we are not clear whether that is the total number of boys who were abducted. There was always some doubt as to how many boys had been taken the State Government says it could be anywhere from 340 400 boys.
