[noise] they were peaceful people. these were great people. the crowd was unbelievable. there was love in the air. i had never seen anything like it. an emotional testimony from the capitol hill police officer who nearly died trying to hold the line. there were officers on the ground, they were bleeding, they were throwing up, they, i mean as a friends with blood all over their faces. i was slipping in peoples blood. it was carnage. it was chaos. the committee, laying all of that blame squarely on the feet of one, that donald trump, using words from his own loyalists and family to make the case that he knew
january six insurrection took direct aim at former president donald trump for his role in inciting the events of the day. the prime time televised hearing paid into a picture of a president who at best was unmoved by the chaos he helped create. at worst, was intent on capitalizing on the arrest we, unrest, to overturn the 2020 election.
