Alleging that scores of farmer leaders had been detained or put under house arrest while hundreds of farmers were being prevented from reaching the protest sites by police, a group of protesters – who have been at the Chilla border since December 1 – started driving a tractor from the protest site. Barricades were put up immediately.

NOIDA: Infuriated at thousands of farmer leaders and supporters being put under house arrest ahead of their state-wide agitation slated for Thursday, the farmers protesting at the Chilla border yet again tried to move towards Delhi after which the Noida and Delhi police shut traffic on the Noida-Delhi carriageway.
