Trucks, working to repair the highway here, after this fiery crash. Part of the highway, it looks like, was damaged. So theyve got the street sweepers and looks like crews out here. And looks like theyre doing some patchup work to the highway. So we dont know when this northbound part of 101 at Bailey Avenue will be reopened. But this all started 3 30 this morning. Thats when the crash was reported. And this was the dramatic scene the driver saw as they passed the four vehicles on fire. According to chp, it started with a single vehicle that spun out, hit the center divide. Three other cars crashed into it. One ignited and before long, all four vehicles were on fire on the freeway. We know one person was killed. At one point, firefighters and chp had to shut down all. Lanes of northbound 101, south of 85. Now, they have one lane open. I was just driving home from work. Man, i just saw a bunch of fire. And there was like three cars. And theyre just engulfed. It was a pretty bad accident

So probably about an hour ago. We were sleeping and the dog woke us up crying. I, you know, took the dog outside and then you could totally smell just that heavy smell of smoke. And i kind of looked up and over the horizon you could just see the orange glow. Wow. And so it is it is too close. Yes. We do have neighbors, and actually as i was outside with the dog and we were kind of looking up at the glow, our neighbor drove by rigt then on his truck and yesterday out the window, we got a fire pretty near. So my husband actually went with him to go check on the livestock, to make sure everything is okay. The fire has reached the neighbors cow pond. Oh, gosh. I have the numbers coming up in lets chhighways. After a couple of days of hot weather. I will take not as hot. That will do it for me. Trafficwise, things are looking okay in your commute. Well start in the north bay. Theres a little bit of slowing on westbound 37 as you head from va to novato. And no specific problems there. The drive from the carquinez bridge to the macarthur maze will take about 21 minutes, were still in the green zone. Not too bad overnight a drive. In the south bay, the io cob has not popped up just yet. A single vehicle spin outcrash and the car is on top of one of the guardrails and it could take a little while to tow that and clear that out of the way. Heres the bay bridge toll plaza on this friday morning sunrise. You see some flashing lights there. Im not sure what that is about. Well continue to get information on that.
