detainees refused to enter their electronically controlled room and went out of control sunday night. sources tell us the detention center shift commander responded to the call for help from staffers and he was assaulted, his jaw fractured and the key taken away by the detainee. the youth development center opened a little more than a year ago and it is meant to house youth defenders. the layout is meant to provide a more humane way of incarcerating these young men. the latest security flap and now the district may have to reconsider how it handles these young men and also how many staffers they have on hand with them. he remains on the scene. we are told authorities have regained control of the whole facility. we will bring you updates as the story warrants. we have a cause for that boating accident that killed a local sheriff deputy and injured another. the 52-year-old deputy was touring on lake anna when the accident happened. one of the nicest men i have ever met. t
