Good look at the fire damage. Because the fire is still burning, they cant get inside to see what caused it. 151 people were evacuated from that building. The entire building is on fire. Reporter you can hear the urgency as the first officers arrived. We now have the police asking for the mass casualties. We saw this black smoke. I took off running down the h l hallway. I started getting my residents out. Reporter she said at first she heard a loud bang and then the smoke. She and other workers rushed to get elderly residents outside. I went banging on doors going to get my residents up. It is a fire. It is for real. It is not fake. Make sure they had shoes on and coats on and start taking them out. Reporter once she was out, she saw how bad it really was. The roof was on fire. Reporter on the ground, First Responders call for help almost shocked how fast the building was burning. Firefighters from not just county over but other counties helped those to get into buses and in the coat.
Locally heavy rain as we head toward the shore. Toward 6 00, as it dries out elsewhere, later on this evening, it dries out from philly westward and its going to take a while before the shore gets out of this. This is 10 00 tonight. 11 00 tonight. Its just starting to go offshore. Look at this temperature contrast. We told you this was going to happen here. Its 35 degrees in allentown but its 57 in dover. 50 in philadelphia right now. Just a tremendous contrast but at least its above freezing throughout the area. As we go through the night tonight, youll see it cool down, and any puddles are going to be frozen by morning. Especially in the northern suburbs where we had more of the icing and more of the snow earlier today down to 19 by 7 00 a. M. In the Lehigh Valley. Thats where there may be a little more icing in the morning. And its going to be a chilly day for the parade.
