Hardin, Clark Scholars named at honors recognition banquet

The Hardin and Clark Scholars, the top academic honors at Midwestern State University, and other outstanding students were named during a virtual Honors Recognition Celebration April 12.
Autumn Fredline was named Hardin Scholar. Fredline is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in English, Sociology, and Political Science. The Hardin Scholar is the university’s highest award for academic excellence and was begun in 1962 by the Hardin Foundation. It is presented each spring to a student during his or her senior year and a $3,000 scholarship award is given with the honor.
Fredline is a member of Sigma Tau Delta, Voices editing team, and the Redwine Honors Program at MSU Texas. She has attended the National Model United Nations where she worked to develop position papers and secure delegation awards. Fredline is also a research assistant in Foreign Trade Consultancy, and she is a tutor and a writing center peer mentor

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (TNN) - Ann Arnold-Ogden joined Brian Shrull on Wednesday to talk about the The Wichita Falls Alliance for Arts and Cultureâs Artist Development Program.
The program continues The Allianceâs tradition of giving artists the tools they need to improve their artistic practice; they also learn to use their creative skills as a way to increase their earned income.
In 2016, The Alliance set up its Teaching Artists Learning Lab, establishing a roster of artists prepared to provide creative programs for children across their service area. As an expansion of this commitment, the next-level professional development initiative will involve up to 15 area artists in a yearlong learning plan to develop their skills as artist entrepreneurs by:
