Problems on wall street may be an internal issue. The opening bell rang like clockwork but the new york stock floor turned silent when trading froze for three and a half hours because of a computer glitch. They were quick to point out it was not a cyber attack. It was not involved in these issues. Reporter he halted trading because of an issue because of the way the computers were communicating with each other and related to a software update. Investors were able to route, by orders through the nasdaq stock market, but the shutdown of the New York Stock Exchange was a big speed bump. I imagine there were people who lost money who couldnt make a sale and that effects people in real ways. Reporter earlier in the day, a routed forced United Airlines to ground flights.
