Staff Writer Photo by Scott McCloskey A Swank Construction crew offers assistance in clearing debris from a flooded intersection on Peninsula Street following a waterline break on McColloch Street early Thursday afternoon. WHEELING While a Thursday afternoon waterline break near the base of McColloch Street will not affect water service to customers in that section of Wheeling, it did create a bit of a challenge for passing motorists. City of Wheeling Water Department crews were called to the scene shortly after a 12-inch waterline ruptured beneath a section of sidewalk along McColloch Street below a portion of Interstate 70 near the Wheeling Tunnel.
